1) All art works will be kept till the end of the year which will be brought home in a decorated portfolio. I hold onto the pieces for upcoming community art displays.
2) Each lesson is based on a cultural or famous artist inspiration. I emphasize art techniques with each lesson whether it is painting, drawing, or constructing.
3) Each class works on a “how-to” drawing lesson at the beginning of class. This process helps the younger students build a file of objects to draw for their writing assignments. The older students able to build stronger visual details for their writing assignments.
4) I use the school district and state curriculum for guidance and development of my lessons.
5) All major student projects will be displayed in the hallway when finished.
