Week Three in Art

Kindergarten: Shapes:Students will be drawing shapes and filling a space with shapes.
Techniques: drawing, outlining, and coloring

First Grade:Color: Artist Kandinsky and his "COLOR STUDY". Students will be selecting a color group to paint shapes.
Techniques: painting

Second Grade: Patterns: Japanese Fish Kites: Culture Japan. Students will be selecting Asian patterns to decorate fish shape papers. 
Techniques:  Overwriter marker application

Third Grade:Color: Artist Wolfe Kahn .Students will have the experience of mixing oil pastel colors to recreate Wolfe Kahn trees.
Techniques: oil pastel application

Fourth Grade:Space: Artist Georgia O'Keeffe. Students will create a "magical" pastel landscape.
Techniques: chalk pastels

Family Art Fun

Rocking Fun Art:
You can create a drawing of a musical instrument on a 3x5 card. You may make your drawing a bIack and white piece or very colorful one. I will display the finished pieces in the art room hallway wall. Please put your name and homeroom teacher on it. I will post the finished pieces for all to see.

Family art activity: create a band of instruments. Be creative and have fun!!
